Barnard College engaged FXFOWLE to design a temporary space for their library while a new building was under construction, as well as several faculty offices. 90’ castellated beams spanned the historic gymnasium to create a second floor for over 40 faculty offices and conference rooms, while the first floor was kept as open and light-filled as possible. As Project Architect, Steve led the design team through DD, CD, and CA phases. The 20,000sf project was completed in 2016.
