Renovation of a historic landmark hotel in downtown Leadville, CO
The Delaware Hotel has been an anchor for the town of Leadville since its’ completion in 1886. Under new ownership, the historic landmark in downtown Leadville, Colorado is currently being renovated in several phases.
The new dining area of the Mineral 1886 Restaurant references the local history and lore of the building, including a portrait wall with pictures that have been a part of the hotel for generations. 1886 is meant to feel like a gold mine with modern furniture and a new kitchen that offers a fantastic range of great options.
The Lobby is currently under construction and is being converted into a bar lounge area with multiple seating areas and many modern amenities including a stage, cocktail lounge mezzanine, the hotel’s first elevator and even a hidden candy room.
The historic charm of the units will remain throughout; the Harrison Avenue retail space will become a 1950’s ice cream and coffee parlor with fresh baked goods, hang out space and even an antique video arcade located on the mezzanine level.
