The Nova Terra home is an ultra-low embodied carbon house, constructed with locally-made compressed earth blocks and using only the healthiest materials, salvaged components, and natural finishes.  The center of the home features a curving, self-supporting terra cotta stair, which will be crafted by James Anthony, a world renowned Masonry Vault craftsman and artist.  A masonry barrel vault extends through the entry hall to a groin vaulted entry porch; a two-sided masonry fireplace will heat the home and enliven both the entryway and living room.

The house is sited to take advantage of incredible views of the flatirons and Indian Peaks; the dining room and living room open to a sheltered backyard sanctuary.  The home also features a second floor balcony and green roof over the entry vault.
