The Barn at River Bend is a multi-purpose event space located in Lyons, Colorado, created to accommodate a variety of events year-round. With the capacity to host 200 guests, the barn will serve as an ideal venue for weddings, community gatherings, networking functions, and charity events. The design of the project aimed to balance functionality and aesthetics to ensure flexibility for diverse uses while creating a welcoming and elegant atmosphere for guests. Located on the St. Vrain river, framed by sandstone cliffs and groves of cottonwood trees, the project team recognized the importance of highlighting the connection between indoor and outdoor event spaces in order to emphasize the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape. An expansive south-facing patio provides a place for guests to gather, dine, and dance the night away, while adjacent covered patios offer easily accessible shelter from the elements. We worked with Legacy Post and Beam to manage the prefabrication and construction of the barn and ensure a seamless build process with high-quality craftsmanship. The project is currently in building permit review, with construction scheduled to begin in late October. Once completed, the Barn at River Bend will be a valuable addition to the community, offering a timeless space for both private and public events.
