The RiverBend Event Venue is a multi-purpose gathering space in Lyons, Colorado, designed to host a range of events throughout the year. With a capacity for just over 200 guests, the barn serves as a destination for weddings, community gatherings, networking events, and celebrations of all kinds. Set along the St. Vrain River, the venue is located beneath sandstone cliffs and within large groves of cottonwood trees. The building is rooted in its landscape by opening to the outdoors through large accordion doors that frame views of the grassy lawn and river beyond.

Inside, tall ceilings and generous skylights flood the space with natural light, while the dark-painted structure enhances the texture and warmth of its rustic materials. The entire structure was created by the prefabrication firm Legacy Post and Beam. Expansive roof overhangs create covered outdoor areas for mingling and dining, complemented by soft lighting that casts an inviting glow across the property. Large windows and doors at ground level extend the interior toward nature, blending the experience of being outside while staying indoors.
The lofted north end of the barn houses changing rooms and a quiet retreat above, while the service wing below efficiently accommodates catering, restrooms, and storage. Surrounded by thoughtful landscaping, the building sits gracefully within a dense, tree-filled setting where old-growth maples were preserved and blue spruces now anchor the site. Situated near the “Wee Casa” Tiny Home rentals and the “Historic Cabin” for the bridal party, the venue connects seamlessly to nearby accommodations. Mindfully designed within the floodplain, the River Bend Venue celebrates place, craft, and community with an enduring space for connection and celebration in the years to come.
