Mineral Restaurant is a central component of the Delaware Hotel’s restoration journey, a project that reimagines the historic landmark in downtown Leadville while preserving the legacy that has defined it since 1886. As the hotel’s signature dining space, the restaurant carries forward the stories of the building through a design that blends local history with authentic sensibility.

The new dining room references the lore of the hotel through a portrait wall filled with images that have lived within the Delaware for generations. These photographs form the heart of the space and root the restaurant in the community’s collective memory. The overall concept draws inspiration from Leadville’s mining heritage. The restaurant is designed as a refined interpretation of a gold mine, where warm metals, rich textures, and contemporary furnishings complement the character of the original architecture.
A completely rebuilt kitchen supports a menu with a wide range of offerings to reflect the restaurant’s commitment to hospitality and craft. Seating arrangements create a variety of experiences, from intimate corners to more lively communal areas, allowing the restaurant to transition seamlessly from daytime gatherings to evening dining.
Everywhere you look, the historic charm of the hotel remains central. While Mineral establishes a renewed dining identity, the adjacent retail space has since been transformed into a nostalgic 1950s ice cream and coffee parlor complete with fresh-baked goods, relaxed hangout spaces, and an antique video arcade on the mezzanine. Mineral Restaurant ultimately sets the tone for the Delaware Hotel’s next chapter by honoring its roots while offering a thoughtful and contemporary culinary experience.
